Dances of the French Renaissance Courts

Friday 24 to Sunday 26 January, 2020, Hiigh Leigh Conference Centre Hoddesdon, Hertfordshire, EN11 8SG
Come and enjoy the rich tapestry of dancing at the French courts from the reign of Fran├žois I to that of Louis XIII: the sociable French branle, courante and bouree, dances in the Italian style, also impromptu mascarades and grand ballets. The weekend will be based on the forthcoming HDS book and CD of twenty-four dances from the period researched by Anne Daye, with music recorded by Tamsin Lewis and Passomezzo. Under Anne's expert guidance, you will develop your skills and master new dances.
